Cybersecurity Collaborative

The Collaborative network offers a peer-based network that shares proven action plans to drive cyber readiness, implementation guides and comprehensive checklists.

In our current remote work environment, and the subsequent increase in cybersecurity attacks, we recognize an increased need to do more with less. Many of us are already dealing with constrained resources and there is more work that needs to get done.

Because of these profound changes to our work climate in 2020, WCA Services, Inc., in partnership with the National Association of Counties (NACo), are excited to augment our members’ cybersecurity efforts with the NACo Cybersecurity Collaborative (The Collaborative)

The Collaborative network offers a peer-based network that shares proven action plans to drive cyber readiness, implementation guides and comprehensive checklists.

Members of the Collaborative have access to customizable policies and procedures for governance controls and compliance, and the ability to connect with experts to ask real-time questions for guidance on real-time issues.

Why Join?

There are two main reasons to join the Cybersecurity Collaborative:
  1. Together we are stronger. If we can all come together, leaning on other public and private sector subject matter expertise, we are better prepared to address the cybersecurity challenges we face every day.
  2. This program is part of a national initiative to connect with your county peers across the nation to one another. It is our hope to become the leading edge of this nationwide movement to increase the knowledge and cyber readiness of our country within each state.

From the initial program rollout in April of 2020, there have been 25-plus counties added to the Collaborative membership that join the ranks of cybersecurity professionals from Fortune 500 companies and other communities in the public sector.

In addition to the success in the county space, there is growing momentum and interest to join from potential members within the city, school district and private sector communities.
